On Monday, April 27th, I begin a 5-Day DIY Silent Retreat.
(To all those who know me well, I know, it’s hilarious, I can hear your laughter).
Since I was little, the family joke has been ‘if there’s one thing Catherine can’t do, it’s be silent’.
At the time (aged 5, 10, 15…), I agreed with them.
Now: I can’t wait! I know this experience will really challenge me. I know it’s going to be hard. Uncomfortable. Possibly very boring.
The longest I have meditated up till now is an hour, so it’s a big step up. And that’s why I’m doing it. I love challenging myself to be the best version of me that I can be.
That is why I want to dive into the stillness. The silence. And see what comes up.
I want to face what’s below the surface, face insecurities that are hiding, and resolve them as best I can. I want to clear my head, let inspiration flow, and feel truly present.
